Who we are

COVR Bespoke Recruitment is a hospitality recruitment business operating across Scotland. For data protection purposes, COVR Bespoke Recruitment is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to ben@covr-recruitment.co.uk or raised by calling +44 7375 081196.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

  • Your name, telephone number, email address and location.
  • Your current and previous roles, professional experience, availability, preferred work and right-to-work status.
  • Your CV and any information you choose to provide during an enquiry or conversation.
  • For employers, your business details, vacancy requirements and communications with us.
  • Basic technical information about how our website is used, subject to your cookie choices.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in your CV or enquiry unless it is necessary for us to help you.

Where information comes from

We normally receive information directly from you through our website, Meta lead forms, email, telephone or social media. We may also receive candidate information from a referral, prospective employer or publicly available professional source. If information comes from someone else, we will provide relevant privacy information when we first contact you.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and speak with you about recruitment services.
  • Assess suitability for current and future hospitality opportunities.
  • Match candidates with relevant employers and vacancies.
  • Arrange introductions, interviews and placements.
  • Manage employer relationships, vacancies and business records.
  • Operate, protect and improve our website and services.
  • Meet legal, regulatory and accounting obligations.

We do not make solely automated decisions about whether a candidate is suitable for a role.

Our lawful bases

We process information where it is necessary to take steps at your request or provide an agreed service, where we have a legitimate interest in operating a relevant recruitment service, where we must comply with a legal obligation, or where you have given consent for a particular use.

Our legitimate interests include responding to enquiries, maintaining a relevant candidate network, matching candidates and employers, and keeping our services secure. We consider these interests against your rights and reasonable expectations.

Who we share information with

Candidate details may be shared with prospective employers when relevant to an opportunity and after we have discussed the introduction with you. We may also use trusted service providers for website hosting, forms, email, document storage and business administration, including Google Workspace, Meta and our website hosting providers.

We may disclose information to professional advisers, regulators or public authorities where required. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use providers that apply an appropriate legal transfer mechanism or other safeguards required by UK data protection law.

How long we keep information

Candidate information is normally kept for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact so we can consider you for relevant opportunities. You can ask us to remove it sooner. Records connected with a placement, contract, payment or legal obligation may be retained for up to six years. Other enquiries are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected.

Cookies and advertising

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to understand visits and measure advertising performance. This can include the Meta Pixel. Where required, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential advertising technology. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

To exercise a right, email ben@covr-recruitment.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before completing a request.

Complaints

Please contact us first if you are concerned about how your information has been handled. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
